FOOD and COOKING BASICS
Okay let's be real here for a min. Clearly you are here because you cook for either yourself or someone you know. Gluten free cooking is not always easy. Thankfully for our amazing gluten free communities, more and more companies are coming out with amazing products to help make our lives (in and out of the kitchen) a little easier.
Now over the years I have found these products from several different sources and tried a lot of brands before finding the ones I love and these ones never disappoint. Most of these can be found a places like Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's to even Costco, Target and even Walmart.
Below are a few of the products that I use and love.
Check back often because I am always on the hunt for new and amazing finds to add into my regular cooking.
These are everyday cooking essentials that I love and use a lot. Right now the Army has decided to move us to the middle of nowhere (thank you Army). It would make it a little harder to find things if it weren't for Thrive Market online. They have so many amazing gluten free products I use a lot of and I can easily have them shipped to my door. I also do a lot of my shopping on Amazon (Any other prime users out there? It's amazing right?) My husband always likes to make fun of me because of how many times I have things shipped to the house. Whoops, but then again we do live in the middle of nowhere right now. I mean even the closest Target is over an hour away, haha!
Whether you have to order things like me or you can find things locally these are all things I know, love and use a lot of.
This all the cooking basics from ghee, oils and beyond that I use on a daily basis and always something I have on hand.
By now you know that unlike traditional baking/ cooking and for the most part being able to use a one size fits all flour; gluten free baking requires a little bit more. Being completely grain free can seem a bit more daunting but with a few essentials we can figure it all out.
